Brennan'sStory
EarlyLife
Kevin was born in Queens, New York, and moved to Madeira Beach, Florida, in 1977 after his father retired from the New York City Fire Department. He graduated from Seminole High School in 1979 and soon enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving as a Crash Fire Rescue Firefighter at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Texas.
During his service, Kevin’s neighbor introduced him to painting, teaching him the lesson that has guided his career ever since: “A good painter leaves the customer’s home as they found it.”
Firefighting& Painting
After his Air Force service, Kevin returned to Florida, became a state-certified firefighter, and began his civilian career in Pasco County before joining Largo Fire Rescue. Even as a firefighter, Kevin continued painting on his days off, eventually obtaining contractor licenses in both Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.
During this time, he also worked installing emergency 911 CAD systems across the country, which led him to meet his wife, Laura, in Seminole County.

After retiring as District Chief for Largo Fire Rescue in 2014, Kevin turned his passion for painting into a full-time career. He founded Brennan’s Painting on the principles of integrity, quality, and outstanding customer service.
Today, Brennan’s has grown beyond painting—adding trim carpentry and cabinetry to provide even greater value for homeowners—while continuing to be known across Tampa Bay for craftsmanship and lasting results.
